IMPORTANCE OF HYDRATION. A study at Vanderbilt University Medical Center revealed that hydration makes us more alert and makes our fight or flight response more apt to serve us well.
6 benefits of staying hydrated
• Water helps prevent dry mouth.
• Water promotes cardiovascular health. - Keeps organs functioning properly
• Water keeps your body cool. – Regulates body temperature
• Water helps muscles and joints work better. - Keeps joints lubricated
• Water keeps skin supple. - Deliver nutrients to cells
• Water helps cleanse your body — inside and out. - Prevents infections
Ways to stay hydrated besides drinking water
1. Eat vegetables
2. Take advantage of summer fruit
3. Grab an ice coffee
4. Avoid drinking alcohol in excess
5. Make a cold soup
6. Start your day with oatmeal
7. Try coconut water (considered the best)
8. Sample different flavors of juice (consider a vegetable juice)

i. Designed to help promote a healthy and spiritual awareness, offering a mid-day break to keep the heart, mind and body in tune through weekly topics, ideas/suggestions by achieving a healthy and spiritual outlook to get us through our new normal.
ii. Airing each Wednesday from 12 noon EDT to 12:30 PM EFT
iii. 5 minutes – opening with a daily word
iv. 20 minutes – low impact exercise
v. 5 minutes – closing – prayer – a weekly verse for meditation
